PENINSULA VALDES FOR UNIQUE WILD LIFE
This was our second visit to South America in 2020.
We were again in S. America for a conference - divided between Chile and Argentina.
After visiting Katmai National Park to see Bears, we decided to go to Kennai peninsula. We had not realized that we would have to go back to Anchorage. Any way we had return Airline tickets.
Going to Alaska was a dream for me. We were going to USA for my daughter’s graduation in month of May. My husband suggested that we go to Alaska following that.

In Anchorage we stayed at Bed & Breakfast belonging to a lady. She stayed next door and when we reached she was just stepping out for a meeting.

This second visit to Alaska was exclusively planned to see Brown bears. It was inspired by a show on Discovery channel about Bears in Alaska to be seen during Salmon Run. My husband knew about the gathering of Bears during Salmon run.
I had never heard about this valley nor about one of the most large eruption occuring in Alaska. I think it is considered next largest after the volcanic eruption that took place ar Saratoni island of Greece.
